The concept

A cozy, private cabin you rent by the hour.

Inspired by Japan's private video-game rental rooms that people use as nap rooms — rebuilt around comfort, hygiene and accountability. Mission: affordable, clean, accountable rest and privacy for everyone, any time.

Portable Ground Pods

01

Misted after every guest

A ceiling disinfecting mist runs right after each guest leaves, and cleaning robots rotate across units.

02

Privacy-first camera

Accountability without surveillance: footage auto-deletes at the end of each session unless there is evidence of a crime or damage. (Subject to legal review.)

⚡

24/7 safe charging stop

Every room and pod has power outlets + USB charging. Walking through a city late at night, a NapDock pod may be the only place to plug in — and rest safely.

04

Open 24/7

Book an hour between classes, a block between flights, or a full night — any time of day.

Concept render of a NapDock service robot: rolling insulated cooler with an articulated arm holding a bag of ice, under a solar umbrella canopy, next to a street pod
Concept render · service robot

Operations: robots that restock and keep pods comfortable

  • Planned design: service robots are low-cost rolling insulated cooler boxes with an articulated arm that swaps ice, linen/topper packs and supplies at each pod. An umbrella canopy (~1.15x the cooler's footprint) keeps rain off and carries lightweight flexible solar panels for trickle charging; a low-power hinge tilts it toward the sun while parked or charging and folds it flat in high wind. Wheel motors recover some energy through regenerative braking.
  • Heat-pump heating and cooling in every building room. Planned design for street pods: a heated mattress pad for warmth and a low-power ice-box fan (fan blowing over an insulated ice reservoir) for comfort cooling, with ice restocked on each service visit. Comfort cooling for a small insulated space, not full air conditioning; humidity relief is limited.
Pricing

Simple prices. No full-night commitment.

BlockRoomDouble room 1.75xPortable pod ½ rate
1 hour$10$17.50$5
4-hour block$25$43.75$12.50
8-hour block$40$70$20
24-hour stay$100$175$50

Planned pricing in USD, before applicable taxes. Subject to change before launch.

🌡 Weather Shelter pricing: half price when the weather turns dangerous

Every room and pod is climate-controlled. When temperatures turn dangerous, pods and rooms are half price as a community service, tied to National Weather Service heat and cold alerts. Half of normal rates: rooms $5.00/hr · $12.50/4 hr · $20/8 hr · $50/24 hr; street pods $2.50/hr · $6.25/4 hr · $10/8 hr · $25/24 hr. Does not stack with other discounts.

Proposed trigger (founder may change): an active NWS Extreme Heat Warning or Heat Advisory, or an Extreme Cold Warning or Cold Weather Advisory, for that location.

The opportunity

Rest is a daily need. Private rest-by-the-hour is still rare and mostly airside.

Today's options — airport suites, airport cabin hotels, capsule hotels — are typically premium-priced or require a boarding pass. NapDock brings it to campuses, malls, streets and more.

Testing the waters (Regulation Crowdfunding, Rule 206)

Not an offer: NapDock is considering a Regulation Crowdfunding offering and is only gauging interest. No money or other consideration is being solicited, and if sent in response, will not be accepted. No offer to buy securities can be accepted and no part of the purchase price can be received until an offering statement is filed with the SEC, and then only through a registered intermediary's platform. An indication of interest involves no obligation or commitment of any kind.

Illustrative only: at an assumed blended $6.60/occupied hour and 40% occupancy, one room would gross about $1,902/month and one portable pod about $951/month, before operating costs. These are hypothetical assumptions, not forecasts. Portable pod production cost ~$250 is a founder estimate.
